About Me

"Resilience," my first solo exhibition at Five15Artist Gallery, marks a transformative chapter in my artistic journey. With the freedom to fully immerse myself in painting, I have been exploring themes of endurance, adaptation, and the fluid nature of memory.
The collection is deeply rooted in the desert landscape, where the saguaro cacti stand as enduring symbols of survival. Scarred by time and weather, they carry the weight of their history while continuing to thrive. Their resilience—marked by struggle yet defined by persistence—reflects not only the strength found in nature but also the ways we navigate the complexities of time, perception, and change.
Lately, I have been thinking more about how memory shifts over time—how the stories we tell ourselves and inherit from past generations evolve. Like the desert, where remnants of the past remain visible even as new life emerges, our personal histories are layered, fragile, and ever-changing. What we remember, what fades, and what is reimagined all shape our understanding of where we come from.
Through this work, I explore resilience not just as survival, but as a process of transformation—both in the natural world and within the narratives we carry forward.
